We left McCormick and went back to meet Ron and Alice back in Cascade. We were hoping to get some more of those big perch for our freezer!

Terry's brother Ron was able to get a newer pickup before he retired. He wasn't looking for a Dodge dually, but that is what he ended up with and is totally happy with it. Here is the "Hippo" alongside the "Black Beauty." Terry named it and I have yet to hear Ron call it that. It is two years newer than ours and has lots of fancy features with it, and Terry continues to remind him of it!

We went into Cascade to the
LDS Church on the 25
th of July. They had a pioneer breakfast for the whole community. We ran into some friends from Emmett--Don and his
daughter Alise. We asked if they would like to go fishing with us and they took us up on it.

We fished the rest of the morning and into the afternoon. I think we wore them out. None of us even got a bite except
Alise. She caught two nice
coeho (that is not how it is spelled) and a really nice 17" bass! (Don later told us that the bass was really a tiger
muskey.) She was pretty excited and even called her husband while we were out on the boat to let him know! Thanks for a fun time, Don and
Alise.

Well, our summer in Emmett has come to an end. As you can see, the camper and boat have been put to bed, awaiting next summer. It is kind of sad to have it end, but now the adventure of our travels continue.

We are excited because my brother Frank helped us modify our hitch to we could put it on the 5
th wheel. Now we can carry our bicycles on the back of it
instead of strapping one on the ladder and putting the other one in the back of the pick-up. They are so easy to just throw on the bike rake, cover them, and we are done!

Terry aways gets antsy the night before we leave. He has the pickup all hooked up. All we need to do in the morning is pull in the slides and we are off to meet his brother Ron and wife Alice who are joining us in our two-month adventure to the coast of Oregon.
Come along with us on our travels if you have time to check out our BLOG once in a while.
