This picture was actually taken as we were leaving because I never get around to taking these kinds of pictures until our last day!
The condo was stored in a site that only had electricity, so when we got back from the cruise, we moved it down to the other part of the campground where we had full hook-ups. This was the first time we had been to the Pio Pico Campground. It was great.
This park is known to have no phone, satellite, or Internet service. Usually, people have to climb this hill above the swimming pool to talk on the phone. I did this the day we got there and had a nice conversation on the phone while I watched bunnies running around! Fortunately, when we got our permanent spot after the cruise, we happened to get one of the few sites that had phone, satellite, and Internet connections!! How lucky were we?!
The lodge has a large outside area that is covered. It made a really nice place to have a craft sale where I sold Scentsy. It was fun meeting a lot of the other people in the park who came to the sale.
There had been some rain while we were gone, so we had quite a little water puddle at our site. But, it didn't reach the area where we had to walk, so we managed just fine.
Looking out our back window, we were able to see some wildlife, including this coyote. They made quite the "music" during the night!
We had such a nice spot. It was large and we backed up right to the creek. It made it really nice to sit out there during the day. I told Terry that if it had been a little warmer, we could lay out there and get a suntan and no one would even see us!
The creek was really pretty. It was still flowing pretty good from the earlier rain.
Then it started raining again! It rained for about three days and we were afraid that the creek was going to overflow into our camp site. But, it didn't get quite that high.
The creek did get high enough to go over the road in the park in two places, which kind of formed an island. Some of the vehicles were parked on the other side and the people crossed over the foot-bridge to get to their RVs. It was pretty exciting for a while. The main road in front of the campground was also flooded and it was a little difficult for smaller cars to ford the flooded area.
Even with the rain, we spent quite a bit of time outside behind the Condo by the creek. It was fun watching all of the little critters. We almost coaxed this little squirrel up on our picnic table with dried cranberries.
Some of the lizards were out getting some sun after all of the rain.
We took time to go back to the San Diego Temple. It was so beautiful. We had been on the outside grounds earlier, but this time we went in and went through a session. It had just been recently refurbished on the inside so it was all new. We had been told that it was especially beautiful inside, and it surely was.
