Imlay Family Reunion, Bear Lake UT 7/12/09 - 7/14/09

The Imlay Family Reunion (my Mom's family) was at Bear Lake.

My cousins, Kelly and his sister Kim were in charge and they did a great job (along with help from others.)

We love Bear Lake. It is on the border of Utah and Idaho. It is around 50 miles around it and is so clear you can see to the bottom for a long ways. Legend says a serpent-like monster has appeared in the lake, but we didn't see it this time!

The reunion was at the state park called Willow Campground. There were tent sites and we RVers just camped out in the parking lot, but we were able to hook up to electricity if we had a long enough cord to reach the Pavilion.
We actually had two pavilions to use This one worked well for cooking and eating.

And eat we did! Here is a picture of my cousin Robert (on the right with his head turned) and his wife Mitzi with their granddaughter Amberlee and her daughter Stacy. On the end of the table is my Uncle Ernie's son Duck and his wife Liz (you can't see her) and Uncle Ernie's daughter Kari Jane.
Eating at this table is (clockwise from left) Aunt Lola, Uncle Ernie's son Butch and his wife Annette, and their sister-in-law Liz, Cousin Wendy's daughter Dena, and Cousin Wendy.
Here are (clockwise from left) Cousin Dennis, Cousin Jo's son-in-law and daughter Tim and Mindy, Cousin Kelly, and Denis's sons Chad and Daniel.
Cousin Kim's stepdaughter Kristyn, Cousin Kim and her husband James, and Uncle Terry are eating at this table.

Here is Terry, our grandkids Jenna, Luke, and JT, our daughter Sarah, and her husband Ryan.
My Cousin Francene's grandsons Gavin and Coit with her daughter Marie, Francene, her daughter Brittney, and Marie's niece.
Cousin Kim's hubby, James, Uncle Terry, Cousin Robert, and Aunt Lola are visiting.

Uncle Ernie's daughter-in-law Liz and Cousin Wendy visiting.

Our daughter Sarah and Terry trying to keep warm in kind of a cool breeze and a little rain.
Cousin Kelly and his wife Rhonda taking a little break from their work, with Cousin Kim, Aunt Nancy, Terry, and our daughter Sarah in the background.

A fun activity for the kids was sand sculpting. Here is Kelly's girls, Taylor and Holly practicing for the competition.

Our grandkids Jenna, Luke, and JT said they were digging a hole to China!

Kim's son Coltin with Aunt Nancy and Uncle Terry (his grandparents), and Cousin Kim.

Cousin Kelly doing a great job as MC, with Uncle Ernie, Coltin, and Aunt Nancy in the background.

Sisters, Cousin Jo with husband Merle and Cousin Francene with daughter Marie, and Jo's son-in-law Tim standing in back.

Cousin Dennis and Aunt Ann standing in front, and Uncle Ernie's daughter Kari Jane and grandaughter Brittney behind them, and Cousin Wendy, Aunt Lola, Duck and wife Liz sitting, with Butch standing behind them.

Cousin Wendy's daughter Dena with son . Behind her are Cousin Jo's daughter Mindy, and Chad and Daniel, and their dad Cousin Dennis, and Cousin Robert's stepdaught Stacy behind them.

Cousin Jo and her pugs seem to be enjoying themselves!
Our son-in-law Ryan with our granddaughter, Lindee.

Aunt Lola, with Uncle Ernie, didn't want her picture taken, but I persevered.

Our daughter Sarah playing golfshoes with kids JT, Luke, and Jenna.

Cousin Kelly using a pretty ingenious idea to get a campfire started in the wind! With Terry, our son-in-law Ryan, , and Cousin Jo looking on.

As you can see, his good idea worked great and we are sitting around, with Aunt Ann in the middle, roasting marshmallows.

Here is the other side of the campfire, with James and Kim, Nancy, Robert, Merle, and otherHere was another activity for the kids. They got to decorate bags (to use later on), with Marie, Francene, and Rhonda helping.
More of the kids busy with the "decorate a bag" activity.

Aunt Eulala and her daughter, Cousin Debbie, came and spent Saturday.
Cousin Robert and Cousin Vernon getting re-acquainted.Jenna is taking her turn at the pinata. She made a grand slam and knocked it down! It did need a little more help getting broken apart.
Look at all of the loot! Those decorated bags really came in handy to put all of that candy in.

Kelly and Rhonda did a great job with activities for the kids. The last one was a "pass the balloon" water game. They had lots of fun and some even got wet!

Taylor thought it was her dad's turn to get wet, but I am not sure who ended up the wettest, Kelly or Taylor.

Our granddaughter Lindee with grandpa, saying "hi" to the dog.

usin Jo has a full lap of pugs!
I had this Blog all posted and then Nancy sent this picture and told me to put it in, so I edited this Blog and put it in. I guess it is proof that I was there too! Thanks, Nancy.

What a great reunion! A big thanks to all of you who did so much work, especially Kelly and Kim and their families. Our next one will be in two years and we heard that it will probably be at the Camperworld campground, Hot Springs, at Plymouth (near Tremonton). Hope to see all of you Imlay descendants there!
