We left Echo Island and went to Knotty Pine, about 40 miles away. What a pretty park! We ended up in the same site that we were in last time we were there. The weather wasn't the best, but by the time we were due to get Jill's kids for a week, the worst of the rain and cold weather happened.
Jill and Dan and two other couples went on a cruise, and we kept Boe and Kamber. They got to our campground on a Saturday night about 9:00. We had a little tent set up outside under the front of our 5th wheel. Two of the guys slept there and the other four slept on our floor and hide-a-bed in the living room. Boe and Kamber slept on the floor in our bedroom. I am not sure anyone got really good sleep, but everyone was a good sport. I got up early that morning and took them to the airport to catch an and 8:30 flight. After a little side trip to the SLC Municipal Airport (our GPS got mixed up!), we made it on time.
What a fun week we had with the kids. Jill spoiled them by buying out the $ Store for at least one surprise for each day. These are the puzzles they got one day. They really looked forward each day to see what they would get.
The weather got good enough that the kids got to play in the pool (with the surprise of the day--goggles and swim rings.
Kamber had to show us her diving technique (notice the sign) that she accomplished without ever getting out of the water!
Hurrah for cousins, and more grandkids! Sarah and her four kids came for one night and Terry's birthday. It was fun having them and the kids had tons of fun playing in the clubhouse, the playground and the pool. Luke was more competition playing air hockey than Grandma was!
They were all excited for Grandpa to open the gifts they brought. He got a headlamp from Boe and Kamber to wear when he rides his bike and goes for walks at night. And, he got an ice cream ball from Jenna, Luke, JT, and Lindee. How fun to celebrate a birthday with kids!
