I really had to twist Terry's arm to get him to let me put this picture on the BLOG!

But, there he is, where he
layed for almost 9 days. He went into the VA Hospital on a Friday. After they figured out that he would make it through the weekend okay, they put an IV in him, wouldn't let him have food or water, and then waited until Monday to take more tests. He ended up having his gallbladder out on Wednesday and they had to go back in on Friday to look for a stone that was left in his
biliary duct. They found no stone, but found a leakage (probably made during the surgery on Wednesday as they were trying to fish out the stone) in the duct so they had to do surgery and put in a couple of
stents, which he has to have taken out in six weeks.

He got out of the hospital on Saturday,
looking kind of puny! It is a heck of a way to loose weight! It will take him a while to get his strength back after laying in bed and not eating anything for 8 days. You can see by both of these pictures that the kids kept tabs on him by phone while he was down and out. Thanks kids!

We traded a deer for a bunny at this campground. Echo Island is over the mountain and east of Salt Lake City, just above Park City. It is also a really nice park.

Our
daughter Sarah and her family came to visit for Memorial Day. There is a fishing pond at the park that you can fish in if you are less than 13 or older than 61. The kids had fun, but didn't catch any fish. This is
JT and Jenna.

Luke is a good fisherman, but he didn't catch anything either.

Sarah and
Lindee kept a watch on the fishing tackle!

Later, Sarah took the kids swimming in the pool. The water was warm enough, but it was a little chilly when you got out.

There is a fountain in one end of the pool that everyone has fun playing in.

Someone gave Sarah and Ryan an "ice cream ball" for Christmas. This is the first time they have used it. You just put the ice cream mix in the middle, fill the rest of the ball up with ice and rock salt, roll it back and forth for about ten minutes, and you have ice cream! It was fun and the ice cream was really good.

Before the kids left that evening, we had a fire and roasted
hot dogs and
marshmallows. It was the first campfire we have had for a while.

The
marshmallows were the best!
JT had a great time roasting and eating them!
I had to get the BLOG caught up because the next park we go to, tomorrow, there is no Internet service unless we drive about 12 miles to the
LDS Church. At least that was the way it was last year. I don't think Terry would like me driving that far just to update the BLOG, so here it is.

What a bummer about Terry, but I'm glad he's doing better. That's along time to be in a hospital bed, and those things are NOT comfortable! Hey, we are going to try to come to McCormick this year! Althought it might be like a couple years ago, and I will be needing to spend alot of time in some AC'ed places nursing, with a 3 month old this time! We would probably come down the 9th or 10th, and stay till Sunday or Monday. If we do, can we join your clan again? Let me know what your planning for food, if you've thougth that far yet, and we will contribute! I'm excited, we haven't gone camping since McCormick 2 years ago, and we have a new tent now (had to get a bigger one to fit more kids!).
Terry we hope that you are doing well. Susan, I've heard that you have had some medical issues yourself. Please post your condition and status. We are glad to hear that Terry is well and all of his details... What about you???
Tyler Fisher was married here (in Sierra Vista, AZ) this weekend. He married a very sweet girl named Krystal. Susan and Terry, you met her at our house back in (I think) March.
We are all well. The boys are prepping for my return to the "real" work force. I have taken a government job and will start work in July. There will be some adjustments, but with Blake starting High school and me working, we are all looking forward to the new challenges.
We hope to see you this winter. Keep us posted.
